EpicletusQuote

The quote above from Epicletus perfectly describes one of the reasons I am participating in 30 Days of Gratitude this month.  It is way too easy to  become focused on our struggles.  On the things we don’t have.  Having to take a moment to think of something for which I am grateful means that for a few minutes each day I am focus on the blessings I have received.  That’s a good thing.

For days 2 – 8, here are the blessings I posted on Facebook.

  • Day 2: I am grateful for laughter.  A good laugh helps brighten any day.
  • Day 3: I am grateful for doggies that love to cuddle with me.
  • Day 4: I am grateful for all the kids and youth I’ve been able to teach at church. I’ve been able to work with some awesome young people!
  • Day 5: I am thankful I have the opportunity to participate in my favorite hobbies, digital scrapbooking and photography.
  • Day 6: I am grateful that our car problems ended up costing us nothing. So very grateful!
  • Day 7: I am grateful that cooler temperatures have finally arrived in my neck of the woods.  I was beginning to think summer would be never ending.
  • Day 8: I am thankful for little gifts of love.

Some days, it has been easy for me to think of things for which I am grateful.  Other days, it has been a real struggle.   That’s why I think it is so important this year that I am participating in 30 days of gratitude.

What are you thankful for this week?  Please leave me a comment below and let me know what blessings you are focusing on this week.
