Mazda3-1

2007 Mazda 3

I love cars!!  That’s right, I love cars!  Currently, I am driving a 2007 Mazda 3 with almost 200,000 miles on it.  As much as I love my Mazda 3 (and I would highly recommend her to anyone), I admit that I have a few cars on my dream list.  So today we are going to take a look at five cars I wish I owned (trucks count too).

Tesla Model S
Tesla Model S Indoors
Tesla Model S digital panelsThe Tesla Model S may be my top dream car.  Because I like listening to tech podcasts, the Tesla has been on my radar for some time.  But initially, it wasn’t a vehicle I was very interested in, other than as an example of what could be done with technology.  But once the Tesla Model S was introduced and I saw it’s specs and all the tech, it joined my list of desired cars. The range for the Tesla Model S at right around 245 miles is great for an electric vehicle.  It would easily let me accomplish most of the driving I do in a day. Heck, there is even a local supercharging station.  (I’d still need to have a charger at home, but I think it’s cool that my town actually has a supercharging station.) And talk about tech. This is a tech girl’s dream.  I mean look at that dashboard.  What tech girl wouldn’t love that? Certainly not me!  All that and the ability to be a little more green.  I think that makes the Tesla a super option.

Dodge Ram 1500
'13 Ram Crew Cab ('13 MIAS)
I’ve wanted a truck for as long as I can remember. And to be honest, it has always a Ford F-150 that was the truck of my dreams. Until recently. After driving both the 2013 Ram 1500 and the Ford F-150, I now prefer the Dodge Ram. To be exact, the Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie. The ride is nicer and the tech package, which must be killer on any vehicle I buy, is better. This truck has not just one, but two LCD screens. One of which is 8 inches. BTW, you can get cooled seats with this truck. Now that I have experienced them, I so want them. As much as I hate to say it, the Dodge Ram 1500 is now my dream truck. (Next time Ford does an F-150 makeover that could change.)

Mercedes Benz SLK
Mercedes-Benz SLK at the Frankfurt Motor Show IAA 2011 (6147179599)Of all the cars I tam talking about today, the Mercedes Benz SLK has probably been on my list the longest. I think I first learned of this car in 2004 or 2005 and I have wanted one ever since. I’ve wanted a convertible since my college days. But beyond that very generic desire, I didn’t have many requirements for my convertible, except I wanted a four seater.  But when I saw the Mercedes Benz SLK for the first time, I knew it was my dream convertible.  First, it’s small and it looks great.  Second, it has a hard top.  I didn’t even know I wanted a hard top until I saw the SLK.   And it seemed like such a luxurious car from the description online that I couldn’t help but want one.  In 2004, tech packages weren’t a big deal to me.  Luckily, this car has a good one.  Really, this car lacks one thing.  It’s a two seater.  This is why I actually have two convertibles on my list.

BMW 335i Convertible
BMW 3 ConvertibleI realize the BMW 335i Convertible will not be in production for much longer.  Although, I do believe it will still be around in 2014.  That doesn’t mean that I don’t still want this car.  Just means I am a little less likely to get it.  The BMW 335i is another hard top convertible.  And this time it has four seats.  Plus plenty of tech to keep me happy.  (And the Audi A5 Convertible is waiting in the wings ready to take the BMW’s place on my list.  Yes, choosing a convertible is hard. lol)

Dodge Dart Limited
2013 Dodge Dart -- 2012 DCYes, the Dodge Dart has returned for 2013.  And yes, this is a much less expensive car than the other cars on my list.  (Fully loaded it comes in under $30,000.)  But a girl needs a dream that is easier to achieve and the 2013 Dodge Dart meets that need.  I think it’s a cute car and for it’s size it is quite roomy on the inside.  Plus this car meets all my techy dreams.  Just like the Dodge Ram 1500, this car has not one but two LCD screens.  And just like the Ram, one of the screens is 8 inches.  And you even get heated seats.  All this in a car under $30,000.  Yes, this is definitely a dream car for my budget.

Do you have a dream car?  What is it?  Leave me a comment and let me know what car is the automobile of your dreams.

P.S. You may have noticed that all of the cars, except the BMW, are pictured in red.  My dream car is definitely red.
